Cowboy Ciao Introduce
For those traveling through Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), Cowboy Ciao offers an exceptional and distinctive dining experience that captures the eclectic, elevated spirit of Arizona’s culinary scene. Known for its sophisticated blend of American comfort food with strong Southwestern and global influences, this restaurant is not just an airport stop—it is a destination. While the original, landmark location in Old Town Scottsdale may have closed, the PHX airport outpost in Terminal 4 proudly carries on the tradition of inventive cuisine and gracious hospitality that earned the original numerous accolades, including the 2013 Best New Airport Restaurant from Entrepreneur Magazine’s Business Travel Awards.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Tables are super close, but to be expected in the airport. We shared a quesadilla. It was decent; nothing to write home about. Pico de gallo is devoid of flavor. Salsa is meh. Service was top notch as was the size of my second 9 oz pour of Pinot Grigio, which was decent as well. It is noisy if all tables are full. There’s also limited room for suitcases, but again, it’s an airport restaurant so…Overall, a decent place to kill time in terminal 4 near gate B22. Sit by the window for views of planes leaving and arriving, but don’t expect a peaceful experience.
October 13 · KM HThey say avoid airport restaurants, but I disagree, especially here at Cowboy Cíao! The food was amazing, and the service was great! The waitress was very friendly and polite. We were seated at a table, and we took our time to dine. We were not rushed out. Recommended. 5/5
August 15 · SylCWas seated quickly, waited an extra few minutes for a server. The waiter was very nice and food came out quickly. It was delicious to say the least.
September 27 · Jae TWent 7 months ago and again tonight’ Solid place for a beverage and some food as you are between flights. Chicken quesadilla is a good choice. The shrimp polenta was actually much better than expected!Have a big cold draft beer or a decent glass of wine as you pass the time. Maybe watch some TV/the game. Prices are “airport high”, but that’s to be expected! Our bartender server, Karen, took a long second to notice us, but after that she was attentive and very niceVictorB
June 21 · Victor BGreat food! Friendly and fast service. Much better than the French cafe next to it. The Rose got me tipsy with six ounces. It was awesome! And the food was super good!Thank you for making my missed flight just a little better.-Brittany-color cocktail factory
