El Bravo Sky Harbor Introduce
El Bravo Sky Harbor is a proud extension of a long-standing, family-owned Arizona tradition, bringing authentic, homemade-style Mexican cuisine to the bustling environment of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). As one of the dedicated Mexican restaurants in the terminal, El Bravo offers a taste of local Arizona flavor, specializing in the kind of comfort food that has made its main Valley location a favorite since 1982. This airport location is designed to cater specifically to travelers, providing a quick, convenient, and satisfying option for both Arizona locals and tourists passing through the state.
The restaurant provides a casual and friendly atmosphere, focusing on popular and familiar Mexican staples. This commitment to traditional, comforting dishes positions it as an excellent choice for those seeking a quick bite or a filling meal at any time of day, as they serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu is stocked with classic favorites such as Tostadas, flavorful Burritos, and freshly prepared Chips and Salsa, all aiming to deliver a genuine taste experience despite the high-volume, fast-paced nature of its location.
A key highlight noted by many travelers is the dedication of the staff, who often receive praise for being friendly and helpful, even during late hours or busy stopovers. While airport dining can often be a hurried affair, El Bravo strives to maintain a welcoming environment. It is a place popular with both locals, who recognize the family brand, and tourists, who are looking for a reliable, non-chain dining experience while traveling through the "Valley of the Sun." The option for quick, solo dining is a major draw for the typical airport crowd.
Whether you are arriving in Arizona, departing from Phoenix, or simply connecting flights, El Bravo offers an opportunity to pause and enjoy substantial Mexican fare. From simple, yet satisfying, Quesadillas to larger items like a Chicken Rice Bowl, the selection is curated to provide quick service without sacrificing the essence of homemade cooking.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I usually don't waste time writing reviews of the places I eat, as when you are traveling through airports there is always a risk to stop to eat at what you consider a quick and safe bite. But this location El Bravo Mexican Grill has been the worst place I have stopped to order.A simple burrito has been my worst decision . I ordered a vegetarian burrito with chicken and avocado. The person in charge is not even familiar with the ingredients is to be cooked. There was a thin slice of chicken. The flour tortilla was cold. I feel that a $1.00 Taco Bell burrito is better served. And they charged $11.34 for one crappy cooked meal. Heads up and be careful..for the travelers that go through this location.
September 28 · Mario Del VillarI was there this past Sunday night- yes, the food was tastey but I am only reviewing because Sayra C. was so friendly- it was late (I was on a stopover), and I was so tired and it was so nice to be greeted by someone so friendly and helpful! I hope she may be recognized in some way- gold standard!
February 06 · ShermTheActorVegan Review: No lard in the beans! You can order a bean burrito with no cheese. Comes with lettuce and tomato, and is delicious. Quick service, polite, they treat you like a person. We'll be eating here every time my wife and I come through.
September 30 · Brandon TrumboAbsolutely terrible service. Ordered a chicken taco salad, and they asked us which toppings we wanted (they acted like it was part of the bowl) and then charges us TEN extra dollars for beans in the bowl. We also got charged extra for sour cream (a couple dollars) which we specifically asked them to NOT put on the bowl. They said they would remake it....took about 15 extra minutes, and we we opened it up at the gate, there was no chicken in it. So basically, we paid over $20 for a poorly made, terrible quality, and horrible service taco salad with no meat in it.
April 27 · N GSaw the advertisement about it being a top restaurant had to try it, second time now. Had the chicken burrito platter, really bland chicken (just heated shredded chicken), they were out of carne asada, rice and beans had almost no flavor, Verde salsa also bland/mild. Really surprised. Breakfast burrito on my first visit was good.
