Nocawich, located right within the airport environment, steps up to meet this need, offering a curated menu of gourmet sandwiches, satisfying salads, and essential breakfast items. Positioned as both a dedicated sandwich shop and a reliable takeout restaurant, Nocawich specializes in what can be described as "fast fine food," or fine comfort food delivered efficiently.
Nocawich is the brainchild of a well-regarded local restaurateur, representing a casual, sandwich-centric spinoff of his former fine-dining establishment. This background ensures that even the simplest items, such as the Grilled Cheese or the Noca Burger, are executed with attention to ingredient quality and thoughtful preparation. The focus here is on elevating the classic sandwich experience, providing travelers with a meal that feels more artisanal than standard airport fare. The casual atmosphere makes it a comfortable spot for a quick break, though it primarily caters to the rapid pace of airport crowds, largely identified as Tourists, in need of a seamless dining experience.
The menu is smartly organized to serve meals throughout the day, covering essential Dining options like Breakfast, Lunch, and Dessert. The morning starts with hearty options like Bluto's Bagel Sandwich and the classic Bagel Egg Sandwich, perfect for those early Arizona flights. Throughout the day, the core Sandwiches section features signature creations like the Fried Chicken Sando, the juicy Noca Burger, and the beloved Cisco Kid—a turkey sandwich with bacon, cheddar, arugula, aioli, and cranberry jam on wheat bread, praised by customers for its composed flavors. For lighter fare, there are options like the Nocawich Chop, Chopped Italian Salad, and the Tuscan Kale. The overall offering provides excellent Comfort food and Quick bite options in a convenient small plate format.

Unlike typical fast-food options, Nocawich provides gourmet, thoughtfully composed sandwiches and salads—it delivers "fine food, fast." When you’re stressed by travel logistics, knowing you can get a satisfying, high-quality meal like the Cisco Kid or a Fried Chicken Sando is a major relief.
The key highlight is the promise of "Fast service," which is the most critical factor in an airport. While one negative customer review noted a breakdown in service speed and communication for a simple order (Grilled Cheese with bacon), leading to a frustrating experience, another positive review explicitly stated that they "needed something quick and this worked out well," and the service was "good." This suggests that while service execution can vary, the goal and capacity for speed exist, which is what the weary traveler desperately needs.

Furthermore, the commitment to full accessibility—Wheelchair accessible entrance, seating, restrooms, and parking—ensures a welcoming and accommodating environment for all segments of the traveling population.
In conclusion, for Arizonans looking for superior comfort food, specialty sandwiches, and fast service before a flight, Nocawich offers an excellent value proposition. It successfully blends the quick service of a takeout spot with the quality of a chef-driven concept, making it a go-to choice for Breakfast and Lunch at PHX. Travelers should be prepared for prices consistent with an airport location (e.g., around $15 for a sandwich and large drink), but the quality of the food generally justifies the necessary premium.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Good Sandwiches especially for an airport location, but expect to pay about $15 if you also order a 24oz drink. I needed something quick and this worked out well. Service was good and I was also able to charge my laptop and phone at their counters.I ordered the Cisco Kid which is a Turkey Sandwich on a wheat bread with bacon, cheddar & arugula in aioli & cranberry jam.
January 20 · Guneet ChadhaWill not stop in this spot again. Fly every month someyimes twice a month out of Phoenix. Ordered the simplest thing on the menu - grilled cheese with bacon. Watched as the lady was rude to people who walked up to the register because mo one stood at the order counter. Then watched as 5 people who ordered after me got their sandwiches (burger, chicken sandwich, salad, etc) as I waited for mine - that my 10 year old could make quicker. When I walked up to address as people behind me got their orders, they refused to acknowledge me. One guy even expressed that he felt for me, as he got his sandwich that he ordered after I did. The sandwich was dried out and looked terrible. I buy food in this airport and terminal every month, buy not here again. Should have stayed in line at Starbucks. Sheesh!
February 27 · Martin WoodI needed something quick to eat while waiting for my flight and decided to give this place a try. I actually really enjoyed the Bluto’s Bagel Sandwich very much! The bacon and hash brown were crispy and the egg was hot. I was surprised how quickly it came out and how good it tasted! Now just like any airport food experience, I would always suggest to tempter your expectations. The food will always be overpriced and the goal is to serve as many customers. This place serves its purpose very well and I’d be willing to try their main location based on the preview I got.Overall, I’d say don’t knock it until you try it. It’s a great, quick eat and if you’re splitting with a significant other, it makes it that much cheaper!
April 13 · Rod MonteverdeI ordered a Fried Chicken Sandwich but I added cheese onto it with no Cole Slaw. When I received my order, I checked to make sure it was made correctly. It was missing the cheese, that I paid for. I asked for it to be remade. The supervisor got an attitude and tried to put the cheese on it without melting it. I asked for it to be melted since I got it 2 days prior melted. The manager told her how to do it. She proceeded to place the chicken on the grill with the cheese under the lid to melt. After waiting about 2 minutes, she dunked my cheese in the fryer’s oil, then put it on my sandwich & gave it to me. I asked to speak with the manager and she told me she has never had a request to add cheese to a chicken sandwich (which is a lie because I’ve gotten it just days prior). Once I told her about the attitude plus the cheese being dipped in grease, she proceeded to offer a refund. My sandwich was not remade. I am now feeling nauseous after eating this sandwich. The supervisor continued to have an attitude as I received my refund. Be mindful & watch them as they make your food.
May 16 · Diamond MitchellQuite expensive/overpriced but those are airport prices for you. I will say, the chocolate chip brownie I had was amazing!! Everything else was just alright especially considering the high pricing.
