Omoide Sushi & Noodle Reviews
spicyrollsbowlphobrothmallkoreanentreessesame chickenpork ramen
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Pros: location is great, atmosphere is just fine, staff were friendly, food came out very quickly.Cons: very low quality ramen. To be honest, this was the lowest quality ramen I’ve ever had at a restaurant. At this price point, I didn’t expect Michelin star, mind blowing, amazingly complex flavors that make it taste like we’re actually in Japan. BUT I did expect it to taste somewhat elevated from the Top Ramen chicken flavor packs I used to make for 50 cents in college. This is exactly how my “spicy Korean ramen” tasted. In fact, I would bet a lot of money that those are the exact noodles that were in my order. It had the exact flavor and texture of a 50 cent Top Ramen chicken flavor pack. Which, doesn’t taste horrible in and of itself, but that’s not what I’m going to a restaurant for. I paid extra to add chicken and it was just a few small pebbles of dark meat. The ratio of vegetables and protein to noodles was really really low for a typical ramen restaurant. Calling what I ordered spicy Korean was a lie. It’s not either. There was a slight orange tinge to the broth which makes me think there’s probably a tiny amount of gochujang present, but not enough to make it spicy or Korean in any meaningful way. Truly the only flavor I tasted while eating this whole bowl was that of Top Ramen chicken flavor seasoning pack. Also, the edamame were very dry and some pods were browning. It had to have been old and microwaved instead of fresh and steamed.I’m really disappointed as I was trying to branch out from my usual ramen spots. I will just stick to the spots nearby that I know are good. Only way I’d come back is if I had a mad case of the drunk munchies and just wanted anything warm and salty. I see reviews here saying the sushi and other entrees are good, but idk if I want to risk this same level of disappointment again.Don’t come here for any level of authenticity or high quality. Come here if you’re drunk, I guess.
September 26 · Ren AndresThis is honestly the worst restaurant I’ve eaten at recently. They microwaved hot soup in a Styrofoam bowl right in front of customers, and even served ramen in Styrofoam too. They clearly have no concept of safe food containers — everyone knows that heating food in Styrofoam isn’t recommended because it can release harmful chemicals and even increase cancer risk.I’ll never ordering from them again. The food itself wasn’t even good.
October 22 · A SService was fast.Food was hot and sushi was fresh. The spicy tuna was actually spicy. The Avocado on top was barely there. The salad dressing is unique. Miso was good. Good pricing. Menu has a variety of options. The inside is a bit cramped. No bathroom available. Restaurant was clean. Not bad for a little shop in a mall/outlet center overall
July 26 · Taleigh BarnhartFood is really delicious and nice I had ordered, idem âme as an appetizer, main dish was ramen with beef and vegetables, such an amazing, try e only thing the cups for water smell bad and I asked th waiter to give me an a plastic one which is ok other ten that I will come back again to this place.
October 18 · Hani WahbiI’m so glad I discovered this gem hidden inside the Arizona Center! The selection of noodles, ramen, and sushi is impressive, and the flavors are incredibly authentic. I had the Arizona roll and Pad Thai—both 10/10. The fish for the nigiri and sashimi was so fresh. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back soon and I’m recommending everyone try them out!
