Marisco Boys Introduce
Located in the heart of the Valley, **Marisco Boys** is quickly cementing its reputation as a premier destination for authentic and elevated **Seafood restaurant** cuisine in Phoenix. Building on the success of its founders' original concepts, this establishment was born from a vision to bring high-end, fresh marisco—the Spanish term for seafood—to the Arizona desert, capturing the bold, nostalgic flavors of coastal Mexico, specifically Sonora and Sinaloa, with a refined, modern twist.
Stepping inside, guests are greeted by a classy and contemporary ambiance. The décor features sleek fittings, warm lighting, and comfortable brown leather booths and blue velvet chairs, creating an inviting, sophisticated, and slightly trendy atmosphere perfect for a vibrant date night or a family celebration. The dining experience focuses on fresh, flavorful ingredients, with specialties designed to impress both the palate and the eye.
The menu is a deep dive into Mexican coastal cuisine, categorized into tantalizing sections. The "Barra Fria" (Cold Bar) is a highlight, featuring ultra-fresh raw dishes like the acclaimed **Aguachile** and high-quality **Ostiones** (Oysters) and **Callos Preperados** (prepared scallops). Another crowd-pleaser is the **Yellowtail Tostada**, praised by local reviewers for its generous piling of cold, fresh fish atop crispy tostadas, often noted as the ultimate summer dish in the Valley.
For cooked dishes, the "Platos" section and the volcanic-stone-served "Molcajetes" are must-try features. The signature **Molcajete Caliente** is a legendary, bubbling spectacle of meats, seafood, and house sauce served in a traditional volcanic rock mortar, representing a true sensory knockout of rich, savory flavors. Other favorites include the whole fried fish like **Mojarra Frita** and the rich **Chicharron De Pulpo** (octopus chicharrón). Even simpler items like the **Baja Fish** or **Gobernador** (shrimp and cheese) **Tacos** are crafted to be delightful and flavorful, though some patrons may note they differ from more casual street-style renditions. The food presentation is consistently praised, coming out of the kitchen "looking amazing," and customers routinely comment on the quality and freshness of the marisco.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ll definitely be coming back to Marisco Boys! I went with my family and we ended up trying a bunch of different dishes. The food came out looking amazing and you could really taste how fresh everything was. The service was friendly, and it just felt like a great place to sit down and celebrate a birthday together. If you’re into seafood, you’ve gotta try this place.
August 05 · Jenny NguyenFood was okay. I got the shrimp ceviche, it didn't come with the usual condiments like diced cucumber, avocado, cilantro etc. No mayo or salsa negra to accompany the tostadas. The best thing was the chiles toreados. The taco gobernador and fish taco (nothing like in Ensenada fish taco) were lacking flavor. Definitely not the Mexican mariscos I was expecting. 🫤
July 14 · Betty TurnbullExceptional. The first real mariscos place in Arizona. Don't let some of these gringo reviews fool you, this is authentic and beautifully elevated Mexican mariscos. The incredibly fresh and tender shrimp in the ceviche and yellowtail crudo were the sign of great things to come. The tacos were creative and flavorful and the molcajete caliente was a flavor packed FEAST! The place is also beautifully styled and the service was attentive. Don't miss it, folks!
August 05 · Jeffrey StrandAlways been a fan of the Az Taco boys so when I found out they opened up a SeaFood place I had to check it out ! I love the open layout very nice lighting and leaving the blinds open was a nice touch. The music was annoying but I can see the vibe they are going for… I love the beer selection and the beer on draft was nice and cold. They did not offer chips and salsa. Water cup was always full and staff boys were always attentive. We ordered the Callos Preparados and 1 shrimp taco. The food came out pretty fast, the shrimp taco was very delightful and perfectly fried. The Callos preparados were very fresh and they came with a black sauce with Chiltepin which was the perfect spiciness for me but felt like the price for portion was a bit off. Overall I would be going back to try more menu items but hope the music choice is better lol but that’s just me.
April 13 · Lilian EscoI had the siete Mares caldo, soup and the toreados! Everything was delicious!! The soup was excellent on point with the spice, the shrimp and calms were amazing. The toreados were so delicious the shrimp and chili were so good! The staff were very friendly and helpful. I’m definitely coming back to try everything on the menu.
