Feeney's Restaurant & Bar Introduce
For over 60 years, Feeney's Restaurant & Bar has stood as a beloved stalwart of the Valley, offering Phoenix residents a unique and time-honored dining experience that is a refreshing alternative to modern, corporate chains. Located in the heart of Uptown, this establishment is more than just a steakhouse; it's a piece of Phoenix history and a true neighborhood favorite that has served generations of customers. It beautifully blends the classic, clubby feel of a traditional American steakhouse with the warm, personable service of a family-owned and operated business.
The atmosphere inside Feeney's is consistently highlighted by patrons as one of its greatest draws. The interior boasts a cozy, rustic feel, characterized by dark wood, low ceilings, and brick-lined dining nooks, creating a warm and friendly ambiance that one customer lovingly described as looking great inside. It successfully mixes a pub-style vibe with elements of fine dining, providing a comfortable yet subtly elegant setting perfect for both casual gatherings and special occasions, such as anniversary dinners. The long-standing success of Feeney's is often attributed not just to the food but to the commitment of the staff, who are known for being attentive and personable, treating every guest like friends and family.
While the restaurant maintains its roots as a classic American steakhouse—with customer favorites including certified prime Angus beef, prime rib, and a rarely-seen Beef Wellington—it offers a delightfully diverse menu. The current ownership has thoughtfully maintained the Greek culinary heritage introduced by a previous owner, ensuring a flavorful fusion. This means guests can choose between a hearty ribeye and authentic Greek dishes like saganaki (flaming cheese), Greek salad with feta and kalamata olives, or terrific lamb chops with Greek seasonings. The menu also features other comfort food classics such as Chicken Limone and Liver & Onions, catering to a wide range of tastes within the local community.
A notable feature that sets Feeney's apart is the inclusion of a self-serve salad bar, which is included with dinner entrées. One customer, while preferring a plated salad, acknowledged there were no issues with the salad bar, and others have specifically called it "incredible" for its variety of toppings. Another highly praised side is Feeney's enormous loaded twice-baked potatoes, a side dish famous for its impressive size and rich flavor, serving as the perfect complement to their quality steaks and beef offerings. Despite one reviewer's mixed experience on a potentially "off night"—noting the steak was "lacking in flavor" and the fish was "cooked well done"—the general consensus remains that the combination of great service, a comforting environment, and a diverse menu keeps this place busy and highly regarded.
The establishment's longevity and success, even amidst fierce competition from newer restaurants in the area, serve as a testament to its philosophy: prioritize good quality food and exceptional customer service, a formula that has kept Feeney's a thriving part of the Phoenix dining landscape for decades.

Feeney's Restaurant & Bar is an essential choice for any Arizona local who values tradition, genuine hospitality, and a rich piece of Phoenix's culinary history. In a metropolitan area flooded with new dining concepts, Feeney's offers a comforting return to an era where dining out meant becoming part of a community. The primary reason to choose Feeney's is the genuine, family-style experience. The owner, Maria, and the long-time staff make every guest feel welcomed and appreciated, transforming a simple meal into a personal interaction. This level of attentive service and warm environment is a significant competitive edge.
From a culinary standpoint, the restaurant provides a unique proposition by mastering the traditional steakhouse menu while integrating flavorful Greek specialties. A diner can satisfy a craving for a perfectly cooked prime rib and then share a plate of authentic saganaki, creating a memorable dining combination not found in typical steakhouses. The value proposition is also strong; for hungry patrons, the substantial portions, like the enormous twice-baked potato and the option for large steak cuts, ensure a deeply satisfying meal. While one reviewer suggested setting appropriate expectations regarding seasoning, the fact that this is a 60-year-old staple where patrons feel compelled to return and even increase their steak size yearly speaks volumes about the consistency and core quality that defines Feeney's. It is the perfect venue for those seeking a friendly, classic, and high-quality dining experience that feels like home.

Feeney's Restaurant & Bar Reviews
We went for our anniversary dinner, after looking at the good reviews posted we came here. We look for local restaurants to dine at. The service was excellent with no issues, no wait and very attentive. Our dinner was steak and salmon. Maybe it was an off night. But the steak was lacking in flavor and not to be tender. The baked potato was giant in size but just that a potato. Salmon was ordered Greek style but I’m not sure why that meant as there was no Greek flavorings or topping, it was cooked well done so missed on flake. It could have been nice to have a butter cream sauce on top. Rice pilaf could have used some seasoning to give it pizzazz as it was on the bland side. Salad bar was different, I would have preferred a plated salad but no issues there. It would have been nice to have a dinner roll with the meal. Now I appreciate the small business and it was busy so I would assume this is a one off in flavor. I only write this as maybe our expectations were too high and in no way is any to defer anyone from trying them out, just placing expectations appropriately so they can be exceeded and not missed.
October 20 · Jodi RichardsThis has been on the list for a while and today was the perfect day for us to spread our wings and sample the culinary offerings of this 60 year old stalwart of the valley. I love the way the place looks inside. The food was great. My wife was particularly happy about the burger. We were so impressed with the service. The young lady who served us just made us feel so welcomed and appreciated. I wish I had this place closer to my house. Looks like a cute spot to do some day drinking.
August 30 · ryan wellsWe stopped in for lunch. We had heard good things about Freeney’s.We ordered the Greek chicken with mashed potatoes and the liver and onions with French fries. It took a while to get our food but it was worth the wait. The chicken was moist and flavored with lemon. Delicious! The liver was mild and tender and the sautéed onions and bacon were a great addition. The service was friendly and attentive. We recommend Feeney’s.
May 29 · Todd PI have been jonesing to try beef wellington for years! This lead me to trying Feeney's yesterday and let me tell you they did not disappoint. The price was very fair for the quality of food. My husband got the lobster tail and filet. Both dishes were cooked beautifully and packed full of flavor. I ordered the twice baked potato which was delightful and HUGE! The food and service were so lovely we walked about it all last night and today. We will definitely be back. My only complaint is that I am a bigger girl and the chairs inside were digging into my sides but outside of that amazing experience all around!
October 03 · Taelor PearsonFantastic! My new favorite place. The food is amazing, the service is warm, friendly and personal, the atmosphere is warm and classic, quiet, understated elegance. I will absolutely be back here as often as possible. Recommend the surf & turf - best lobster I've had in YEARS!! Filet was fantastic as well.
