★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our first time at "Nick the Greek," originally founded by three Tsigaris cousins (Big Nick, Little Nick, and Baby Nick), hence the name. This fast-casual restaurant serves authentic Greek street food. Customers can build their own bowls and dishes with a variety of fresh ingredients and proteins, including beef, chicken, falafel, and traditional pork. We both tried the beef/lamb gyro combo. I had mine with Greek fries, and Shanda selected the Greek salad. The gyro meat was so flavorful; it really stood out. I enjoyed the Greek fries. The Greek salad's veggies were cut a little thick and could have used a little lettuce and some balsamic vinegar. They are located at the CityScape complex downtown, a Greek food hidden gem. Please support them.
September 23 · Victor MannI stopped in for a late lunch and had a great experience. They do not carry any shellfish which is great for those in need of shellfish allergy accommodations. I had the chicken gyro bowl combo with pita and a soda, it was delicious! The restaurant was clean and the gentleman at the counter was friendly and helpful in going over the menu.
September 15 · Katherine MillerThe food is always good. But the bigger guy that works the counter sure has a way of making POC feel unwelcome. Especially when we watch his entire customer service presentation change for other customers. It’s disheartening when you spend the same kind of money as others.
May 16 · Ashley MonroeThe gyros are excellent. My preference would be a little more vegetables on it, so maybe next time I’ll try a bowl. I’m not a fan of the fries in the gyro, but some might like that. Highly recommended.
July 22 · John RyanVery personable staff, very good food, and quick! We wandered around downtown, trying three restaurants (~6pm), finding wait times up to 1.5 hours, before coming across this casual place. And so glad we went in. We walked right up to the counter, ordered salads, souvlaki with pita, and a gyro. Pita was soft and delicious. The hummus was tasty, as was everything else. Definitely a go-to for me, and the pricing was a bonus.
