This establishment specializes in Salvadoran cuisine, providing a warm and cozy atmosphere where locals, families, and groups can gather to enjoy traditional recipes. The restaurant is particularly renowned for its namesake dish: the pupusa, a thick, handmade corn tortilla stuffed with a variety of savory fillings.
The extensive menu goes far beyond the pupusa, covering all dining periods from sunrise to sunset. Patrons can indulge in hearty, traditional BREAKFAST options such as the DESAYUNO GUANACO or HUEVOS RANCHEROS. For LUNCH and DINNER, the menu features substantial plates like Carne Asada, Mar y tierra (Surf and Turf), and various preparations of chicken and seafood, including MOJARA and CAMARONES EMPANIZADOS. By offering Comfort food, Quick bite options, and a cozy atmosphere, Los 3 Hermanos positions itself as a home-away-from-home for both the Salvadoran community and adventurous food lovers across Phoenix.
Like many authentic local eateries, the customer experience can be a mixed bag, which often speaks to the challenge of maintaining consistent service in a bustling, high-demand environment. Loyal customers rave about the quality of the food, with one reviewer enthusiastically stating the "Excellent pupusas" are "everything made by hand" and the "friendly staff" make it highly recommendable. Conversely, another review noted a significant lapse in service and food presentation, citing issues with takeout orders and slow greeting times. These contrasting experiences suggest that while the authentic, handmade food quality remains a major highlight, the service component can fluctuate, something patrons should be aware of, especially during peak hours. Nevertheless, the restaurant's fundamental commitment to authentic Salvadoran flavors and a robust menu keeps it a favorite among Locals in Phoenix.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I placed my order on the phone for 2 cheese pupusas they said it would be ready in 15 mins which was fine so I arrived 20 mins after. When I arrived no one greeted me till after I stood there a while the service was horrible. So when I got home and opened up my food come to find out both of the pupusas are stuck together into one so just because the kitchen decided not to separate both pupusas both my kids couldn’t eat their own separately. And on top of that they charged me $5 per pupusa so yea $10 down the hole. This place used to be good but once the staff had changed everything went to crap never going back to this place as a salvadorian myself I’ll say shame on them to serve such poor service and bad quality food.
August 13 · Jay ZExcellent papusas, friendly staff, everything made by hand. I highly recommend you stop in and try it!
May 02 · Joseph AdamsLove this place as its down the road from my apartment when im really craving some pupusas. This place has really tasty pupusas & they have different combo options. The beans are so good, & the platanos have always been sweet & tasty. This place is pretty quiet overall but the staff is very attentive & I appreciate how they still do take of you even if they arent as talkative. Please dont think they arent kind, they are, they just do their job & they do it well I promise. 😎
March 10 · YamiTHIS IS A SALVADORAN RESTAURANT NOT MEXICAN! The service isn’t always the best but to be honest I expect that from these little hole in the walls plus I don’t speak Spanish and most of the employees speak Spanish solely. That being said these are the best papusas I’ve had in Phoenix! I’ve read many of the reviews seem to be folks mistaking this for Mexican food saying it’s not great Mexican food. These are not Mexican flavors don’t expect that! Have the papusas! They are phenomenal
November 24 · Marco Di santoPupusas are $3.00 every Tuesday no tax.
