Little Pickle Introduce
Little Pickle is a highly anticipated and warmly welcomed permanent addition to the Phoenix dining landscape, evolving from a celebrated pop-up concept into a dedicated brick-and-mortar Jewish deli. Located in the prominent Esplanade complex on East Camelback Road, this restaurant has quickly established itself as a go-to spot for authentic, high-quality deli classics that resonate deeply with the comfort food cravings of Arizona locals. Its reputation is built on a simple yet profound promise: delivering the real New York Jewish Deli experience right here in the Biltmore area.
The core of Little Pickle’s offering centers around expertly crafted sandwiches, house-smoked fish, and authentic bagels. The star of the show for many patrons is the Hand-Carved Hot Pastrami Sandwich, served plain and simple on toasted rye with brown mustard, which is a testament to quality ingredients and traditional preparation. The Reuben Sandwich, which features the same house-carved pastrami or roasted turkey, is another crowd-pleaser, although one dedicated fan’s review noted a slight variation in the butteriness of the rye, and the amount of cheese and sauerkraut, compared to the pop-up days. Despite minor variations, the passion for the flavor is clear, with the customer emphatically stating, I will never give up on this place. See ya soon!!
Beyond the hot pastrami, the menu boasts other satisfying lunch options, including the Roast Turkey Sandwich on toasted sourdough and various classic deli salads, such as Chicken Salad and Egg Salad. The quality of the ingredients is consistently highlighted; for instance, the carved turkey sandwich, priced at $16, was praised for its good quality meat and fresh produce on toasted sourdough.
The dining is very much a breakfast and lunch-focused affair, with a concise and impactful menu designed for quick, delicious service.
Little Pickle also addresses the highly specific Arizona demand for quality bagels and lox. Their Hand Rolled Bagels, available with house-made shmear, are a major draw. The legendary The Works Bagel
featuring house-smoked salmon, tomatoes, red onions, and capers, is a must-try for local breakfast and brunch enthusiasts. The dedication to this specific cuisine fills a long-standing niche in the local market, making it an essential visit for New York deli aficionados living in the Valley.
Operating primarily on a fast-casual model, the service options include Pickup and Takeout, with the ability to schedule orders online for maximum convenience. This is particularly appealing to the business-centric crowd in the Esplanade complex. While the initial challenge of finding parking and the exact location is a minor point mentioned in a review, another patron noted that the parking was easier than I had thought in the visitors spot in the garage,
suggesting that simple planning can mitigate any navigational inconvenience.

Little Pickle Reviews
New review: 10/25The bagel was very basic, but the carved turkey sandwich at $16 had good quality meat and fresh produce on toasted sourdough. The pickle was a bit off, but the parking was easier than I had thought in the visitors spot in the garage. You won't be able to find the place and if you do, you will have to valet park or walk 15 minutes from a garage. Not worth the hassle.
October 17 · Brad HalfondI got a pastrami sandwich once when this was a pop up and ordered bagels when they did a couple bagel drops. Always amazing. To say I’ve been excited for you all to reopen is an understatement. That being said, this sandwich I got today was good, just not as good as it was the 1st time!! They rye was maybe more buttery last time and it had way more cheese and sauerkraut. The meat seemed a little tough but the flavor was there. I’m so happy you’re in a spot now because I will never give up on this place. I just thought you should know. See ya soon!!
June 02 · Christina MOne star is being generous. Normally I would complain because there was more mustard than pastrami on the sandwich however the mustard probably tasted better than the pastrami. Absolutely terrible.
August 18 · Robert GabbayI missed out on Little Pickle's previous incarnations, but we hit this latest one for its opening. If you're looking for a tight menu of Jewish deli classics done much better than usual, don't miss this place! The lox bagel had a fat stack of beautifully made lox with some tasty cream cheese and a generous dose of capers. You like salmon? This is your lox. I didn't think the rest of our order could beat this, but...The pastrami reuben was all killer. A generous portion of beautiful thick-cut pastrami lets you revel in the seasoning and smoke. It was toasted to perfection, the bread was excellent, the amount of cheese was just right, and the kraut was quality. 10/10, will gorge on pastrami again. Maybe even tomorrow. It was that good.
May 20 · Colin MattsonMaybe I was just hoping for a great bagel here. I got gluten free toasted with plain crème cheese. Bagel was like a store bought Safeway or fry’s bagel. Nothing I’d go back for. Waited at least 10 minutes for 2 bagels. No one else was in there but me. You guys need to find a good gluten free bagel. The sandwiches looked good maybe that’s what people come in for. You’re wasting your time on the gluten free bagel. Start over or delete from the menu.
