★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1This is a modern Mexican restaurant with cool and hip vibe. It has good services and yummy food. Went there on Tuesday night and it was almost full house. Horchata and Gallo Margarita were great. The bartender, Connor, who was also our server, served our drinks quickly. The shrimp cocktail was incredible and refreshing. It is the best shrimp cocktail ever! I liked the freshness of the shrimp and the flavorful cocktail sauce. Chilaquiles was yummy too.Visited the restaurant again a few days later to try their pozole, tacos, and churros. All tasted good.
October 01 · Lee T.I’ve been to Gallo Blanco about four times now, and this was definitely my last visit. I ordered the avocado toast, and while I didn’t mind that they used the same guacamole they serve with chips, my eggs came out cold. I also ordered one tamale verde con elote, and honestly—it was such a disappointment. Whoever came up with this recipe clearly doesn’t understand traditional Mexican food. Whole corn kernels in a tamal? As a Mexican, I was shocked and honestly offended. The tamal was dry, cold, and crumbling apart. It’s insulting to call this restaurant a Mexican restaurant. Not to mention over priced ! 10$ for 1 tamal! A total waste of money. My husband ordered chorizo con huevo, which was fine. But honestly, it’s pretty hard to mess that up. We also got two lattes de piloncillo, but there was no piloncillo flavor at all. This place feels completely white-washed. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, do not come here.To make things worse, while our server was nice, she wasn’t attentive at all. We had to stand up and go pay at the counter because she never came back to check on us during the meal. Overall, very disappointing experience.
October 19 · Daniela CastroThis has to be the best Mexican I’ve had in the Phoenix area. The envuelta made me think carb free dishes can actually be good; perfect combo of porky goodness and creamy smoky cheese. The banh mi was perfectly balanced (skip the jalapeño and pickled onion imho) and flavorful in every bite. Migas and flautas were also enjoyed around the table. The server was conversational and gracious. The decor contemporary. I felt relaxed and at home. Parking right in front. Truly nothing was negative in any way.
August 05 · Ed BrillMy husband and I checked out this spot. It was highly recommended by my coworker. We sat at the bar with Alex and his service was 5 ⭐️ he was knowledgeable about restaurants history and ingredients. We are most definitely hooked now! We love good food + service!
August 09 · What’s GoodEric was my server and he was absolutely amazing so welcoming and kind! The whole space felt inviting, and the food did not disappoint. I ordered the horchata (so refreshing!) and the huevos rancheros, which were both delicious and surprisingly affordable. If you’re looking for a yummy breakfast spot, definitely stop by and tell Eric I sent you! He truly deserves all the praise (and a good tip!).
