The patio looked great, but between the humidity and the misters blowing the wrong way, it was just too hot. Smart move heading inside to the bar.Mike at the bar was awesome — super friendly, great convo, and absolutely nailed every drink he made. Everything was perfectly mixed, couldn’t have asked for better.The Woodford Sour completely blew me away. Hardly anywhere in the valley does a true whiskey sour, but this one was perfect. Sorry Phoenix Bourbon Room, you just lost your top spot. Super well-balanced, not too bourbon-y, just the right amount of sweet, and the charred cinnamon stick on top kicked the aroma up to a whole different level.The Blurred Limes (Dobel Diamante, lime, green chile vodka) were good, but the green chile flavor/heat was super light. The Pink Moon (Grey Goose, hibiscus tea, blueberry, elderflower, lemon, cranberry) smelled amazing and was light and sweet — my husband loved it. The elderflower was a bit bitter for me, but not bad. The Orange Drop (Stoli Ohranj, Magdala, simple, lemon) tasted just like a lemon drop candy with a little orange twist — really good. Mike even hooked me up with the extra from someone’s Bloody Mary — super balanced, and of course I added Cholula because I like a little kick.Staff was great, place was spotless, music wasn’t blasting, and bonus points for comfy bar stools with actual footrests.Food-wise: the Deviled Eggs (house-seasoned yolk mousse, bacon chip, and relish) were a little sweet for my taste but I’d still crush a dozen. The Fig & Goat Cheese Bruschetta (Noble bread, fig jam, herb goat cheese, arugula) was really solid — great char on the bread, fig came through strong, arugula balanced it out, though the goat cheese kind of got lost. Still would definitely order it again.But the Shakshuka Skillet? So good. You almost never see that on menus and they absolutely nailed it. Spicy tomato sauce with peppers, onion, garlic, feta — tons of flavor. Perfectly runny eggs mixed right in, and honestly some of the best feta I’ve had. The grilled pita was perfect for scooping up every last bit.************************************Second trip in and still loving this place. Vince was our server/bartender, and he crushed it. He opened with a disclaimer that he was new (bold move), but honestly, you’d never know, the service was on point. Thanks, Vince! Bonus: it was the first glorious day under 95 degrees, so obviously patio seating was the move.DrinksWoodford Sour – This is the primary reason I keep coming back. Proper whiskey sour with egg white, none of that neon mixer nonsense. Still the best whiskey sour in the valley, fight me.Kona Cactus – Tequila, coconut, lime, pineapple, pineapple foam, li hing. A lot going on here, but somehow it works. The pineapple foam is the MVP. I could honestly eat a bowl of it. Light, sweet, fluffy pineapple goodness finishing off the drink perfectly.Mai Tai – My first one ever, and turns out it’s basically a margarita in rum’s clothing. Not bad, just underwhelming after those first two.FoodSteak & Eggs – The 10 oz NY strip was absolute perfection. Medium, exactly as ordered, beautifully seasoned, and so tender you almost didn’t need the knife. The chimichurri-style sauce wasn’t just an accent, it was the exclamation point on a perfect steak. This steak honestly outshined everything else on the table and could’ve carried the whole meal by itself. The eggs were fine after a DIY salt-and-pepper rescue, but let’s be real, the steak was the headliner and everything else was just the opening act. Bacon? Fantastic, but so rich one piece is plenty. Cheddar chive biscuit? Exactly what you want with a steak breakfast. Schreiner’s sausage + mushroom gravy tasted good but had a little raw flour sweetness hanging around. Still, it paired nicely with the biscuit.Overall, another win. A couple of minor misses, but when you’ve got steak this good and whiskey sours this perfect, who cares? This place just keeps delivering.

She enjoys interacting with everyone but also gives the best and most genuine time and attention. She’s a unique one and my favorite one. Combine her and Mike, the best duo ever. Andy is a gem too!The only thing missing are the bacon wrapped dates, please bring those back. I love a welcoming and such amazing space to enjoy wholeheartedly and enjoy daily, the people and the bacon wrapped dates make the experience that much more. #bringbackthedateswrappedinbaconwiththesauce.Disclaimer: I give the food a 3 because we need the bacon wrapped dates back pronto. The food is good. But those bacon wrapped dates are elite.Again, if you noted the use of bacon wrapped dates constantly, it’s because they were good and are really that good to be the staple of their menu year round…YEAR. October 09 · Natalie RamosWhat a cool place. We sat at the bar, and didn't see much of the restaurant, so keep that in mind for my review. This place has such a great atmosphere. The staff is simply amazing, they seriously make this place. Their take on a Manhattan is highly recommended and very good. I could have gotten into trouble with that drink. Food was good, large portions. The chicken wings were good but that shrimp appetizer was off the charts.
