Prado Restaurant Introduce
For those in Arizona seeking a truly distinctive and upscale dining experience with a taste of the Mediterranean, Prado Restaurant offers an authentic Spanish-influenced culinary journey right here in Scottsdale. Situated within the luxurious Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, Prado is more than just a restaurant; it’s an immersive experience designed to transport guests to the charming, vibrant atmosphere reminiscent of Spain’s Andalusian region.
Prado seamlessly blends the rich flavors and heritage of Spanish cuisine—such as wood-fired cooking techniques and an appreciation for fine regional wines—with a sophisticated American palate, utilizing the freshest local ingredients available from Arizona's extensive farming community. The restaurant focuses heavily on Spanish traditions, notably through its extensive selection of tapas (small, savory dishes meant for sharing) and its communal, festive dining setting. It provides a unique escape, allowing patrons to enjoy a taste of international elegance without ever leaving the Valley of the Sun.
The culinary offerings span from small plates like classic *Patatas Bravas* and wood-fired appetizers to large-format main dishes, with Paella being a central feature, celebrated for its saffron-infused rice and various protein combinations. While some diners have noted variations in the preparation of dishes like the Paella, particularly those familiar with its strictest traditional forms, many rave about the flavorful tapas, the braised short ribs, and the overall quality of the main courses, as well as the attentive service from staff members like Jonathan. The restaurant’s commitment to excellent beverage options, including an impressive wine list and expertly crafted cocktails, further elevates the dining experience, making it a favorite for both special occasions and regular upscale dining.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I was excited to try this restaurant as I travel to Spain frequently and love paella. The Spanish influence was the reason why we stayed at this property. Patatas bravas and the pimientos de Padrón were absolutely fantastic. Then, we had the vegetable paella, which resembled a deconstructed ratatouille. Not trying to judge a dish by its appearance, we embarked on tasting what is the worst paella I have ever eaten. The rice did not taste or look like Valencia rice. The sauce had a heavy tomato taste. I am not sure why people rave about the paella here. I am genuinely confused about that. Jonathan was our server, and he was top-notch. He was kind and provided amazing service. I would dine here again, but I will order a different main dish.
February 22 · LindsayAt the risk of sounding like a Karen, somebody has got to start holding some of these servers accountable - you don’t get a 20% tip for doing 20% of the work. I will say however, that we observed other servers providing other guests with a far better experience than ours, so I’m hoping this guy is just the outlier. This is a higher end restaurant with prices to match, but I’ve met more qualified and engaging wait staff at Waffle House. I honestly don’t even know where to start with this guy, because not a single interaction with him felt like a normal exchange between a guest and a server. This guy sort of just ‘showed up’ like he wasn't quite sure what’s supposed to happen next. He was friendly enough, but he did not offer any form of introduction, guidance with the menu, or structure for the overall experience - just a “can I get something for you?” - uhhhh yeah I guess??? The pacing was bizarre, and he was unable to answer simple questions about the menu, or offer an original thought on wine - just a quick escape to bring me a single sample. I’d love to leave a good review because the food was actually really good and I’d genuinely go back for it even though the short rib was cold, and the Caesar would be better off with romaine or baby gem. And my god, please bring share plates larger than the size of a fist.I’m sure management knows who I’m talking about, because I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s complained, so I’m sure he’ll keep on keeping on.
August 31 · Grayson HarelsonVery good breakfast in the Omni resort , our waiter was very friendly and food came out on time, we sat outside and we got a nice view, I would definitely come back for sure
June 26 · ABThe restaurant is very beautiful with private booths and dining tables. It is decorated with beautiful paintings. The staffs were very friendly with kind hospitality.I went there for the restaurant week. Some dishes were hit and miss. The dish that I like the most was Valencia paella (not on the restaurant week menu).Striped bass base was seasoned very deliciously. However, the striped bass (both in the main dish and the paella has unpleasant smell.Gazpacho was a clear soup. I believe the chef wanted to make it refreshing to complement with cucumber and watermelon. It was interesting, but not my preference. The calamari battered fell off from the calamari and a bit oily, which was not my preference. I also preferred it to come with lemon as well because the sauce was very creamy.
May 24 · Ravisara LWe came here for brunch and were pretty disappointed. The staff was very friendly but apart from that, everything else felt very mediocre and not living up to the expectations. Got iced coffee that was very diluted. The peach cocktail was very sweet and unclear whether there was any alcohol in it and definitely did not justify the $16 price tag. The food presentation was decent but the taste and quality were not memorable. In addition, we got a high chair that had old food on it. Would not be coming here for breakfast/ brunch again.
