Mr Leno Introduce
Mr Leno is a Mexican restaurant situated in Phoenix, Arizona, catering to the local community with an extensive menu that covers all the popular, common Mexican dishes Arizona residents love. Operating with exceptional hours, the restaurant positions itself as a go-to spot for both early birds and those seeking late-night meals. The establishment offers a straightforward, functional approach to Mexican dining, focusing on popular, quick-service items like burritos, tacos, and combination plates.
The menu at Mr Leno is remarkably vast, providing a wide array of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Patrons can choose from numerous specialty burritos—including Carne Asada, Adobada, Chile Relleno, and the regional favorite California Burrito—as well as combination plates that feature traditional pairings like Two Beef Tacos, Two Enchiladas, or a Burrito and Taco. Breakfast is a particular focus, with options such as Huevos Rancheros, Machaca Burritos, and various egg plates available.
However, it is important for prospective Arizona diners to manage expectations. While the menu is large and the hours are convenient, some customer feedback suggests a need for improvement in areas such as service demeanor and food preparation consistency. It is a quick-service spot where the convenience of the location and the sheer variety of Mexican fast-food options are the main draws for locals in the West Phoenix area.
Mr Leno is conveniently located in Phoenix, Arizona, a highly accessible spot for West Valley residents. The specific address is: 8430 W McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85037, USA. This location places it on a major roadway, McDowell Road, ensuring ease of access for vehicular traffic.
The restaurant offers a key accessibility feature for those arriving by car: a private parking lot. This eliminates the hassle of searching for street parking, a common convenience factor appreciated by Arizona diners. While details on specific ADA accommodations (like wheelchair accessible entrances or restrooms) are not available, its presence on a main thoroughfare makes it easy to find. The restaurant focuses primarily on quick service and takeout, and although it does not offer outdoor seating, the private parking facilitates a smooth process for pickups and brief stops. Given its location in the heart of Phoenix's bustling West Side, it serves as a straightforward option for those in the 85037 area.

For the Arizona resident, Mr Leno is primarily worth choosing for two main reasons: unparalleled operating hours and a truly expansive menu of Mexican fast-food staples. In a large metro area like Phoenix, having a reliably open spot from 5:00 AM to the early hours of the morning is an invaluable convenience, especially for shift workers, travelers, or those with late-night cravings. The sheer variety of food ensures that nearly any Mexican fast-food craving can be satisfied, whether it’s a specific burrito style—from Carne Asada to Shrimp & Crab—or a full combination plate with rice and beans.
The extensive breakfast menu is another major draw, offering substantial and affordable options to start the day. When convenience and variety are the priorities, particularly outside of typical dining hours, Mr Leno fills a crucial niche in the West Phoenix area. It serves as a utilitarian option for quick, familiar, and filling Mexican meals.
However, potential patrons in Arizona should choose Mr Leno with the understanding that it operates in a quick-service, fast-food model, where customer experiences regarding service attitude and maintenance can be inconsistent, as suggested by some reviews. This is a pragmatic choice for convenience, a huge menu selection, and late-night accessibility, rather than a destination for high-end dining or gourmet preparation. If you need a quick, early morning breakfast burrito or a late-night fix of Mexican staples in the 85037 area, the extensive hours and massive menu of Mr Leno make it a uniquely positioned option.

Mr Leno Reviews
Don't waste your time or consideration. I ordered quite common mexican dishes and the food was not good, the management was quite rude and unwelcoming, though the cashier had better business tact. They had no working restroom. Being the case, I thought that I'd go #1, out back. I couldn't bring myself to do that though because a past patron, obviously beat me to that spot, to do #2. Don't waste your time or money.
September 20 · DamonHorrible the cashier was super rude. Never hoing back or recommending it either. 16$ dollar for a skinny burrito with burned egg. I can go across the street get cheaper loaded burritos with great attitude.
December 16 · Fred GarciaWe have been patrons of this establishment for many years, but regrettable, we have had to cease dinning here owing to a marked decline in the culinary quality. This burrito lack flavor and this hot sauce, NOT SALSA is excessively spicy, causing discomfort to my lip. Furthermore, the current management's demeanor very unprofessional, starkly contrasting with the exemplary service provided by the original owner and his brother.
July 31 · Chef JazzyThe food is comically overpriced and to make things worse they provide way smaller portions compared to other places. The person who took my order also seemed quite unfriendly. When I went in, I was the only one dining the entire time I was there. I am surprised how they stay in business. They definitely have no repeat customers.
September 15 · H BToo spicy! And I love spicy food! I ordered a side of sour cream to help, but my mouth was still on fire. Flavor was decent though, but the Chileques was not served like I’m used to. Beans were pretty decent. I probably wouldn’t go here again if I’m being honest, it’s way too expensive for what you get. Also to the poster that complained they didn’t get service, you order at the register!
