Los Dos Molinos Introduce
Los Dos Molinos is renowned for dishes that are both spicy and deeply flavorful, proving that heat does not compromise complexity. The restaurant specializes in **Serves local specialty** items that lean into the New Mexican tradition, such as **Carne Adovada**—slow-cooked pork marinated in spicy red chile—and **New Mexico Green Chile Stew**. Popular dishes consistently include the deep-fried **Chimichanga** (smothered in homemade chile), the hearty **Enchilada Dinner**, and the satisfying **Adovada Ribs**.
Beyond the fiery main courses, the menu is extensive, covering everything from appetizers (Botanas) like **Spicy Nacho Cheeezy Dip** and **Los Dos Fries** to traditional **Tamales** (New Mexico Red Chile, Green Corn, and Blue Corn) and various **Burros**. Even seemingly simple side items often pack a punch; one customer review noted, "The queso is SPICY (which I love!) but just a heads up!" While some items like plain chicken tacos or rice and beans might occasionally be described as bland, the overall consensus is that the specialty dishes—especially those soaked in the famous red or green chile—are rich and intense.
The atmosphere at Los Dos Molinos is designed to be **Casual, Cozy, and Trendy**, making it an appealing spot for a wide range of patrons. First and foremost, you must try a dish that showcases the famous chile. This means opting for the **Adovada Ribs** or any of the popular **Burros** or **Enchiladas** that are smothered in the homemade **New Mexico Red or Green Chile**. The **Carne Adovada** is consistently cited as the signature dish—slow-cooked, marinated pork that offers a depth of flavor beneath the intense heat. If you're a first-timer hesitant about the spice, choosing an item that allows you to try both the red and green chile "Christmas style" is a popular recommendation.
Second, the bar menu is a major draw. Choosing one of their **Margaritas** or exploring the **Great cocktails** list is essential, especially during the enticing **Happy hour**. The drinks provide the perfect, refreshing counterpoint to the heat of the food.
Finally, your visit should conclude with the traditional New Mexican dessert: the **Sopapilla**. These warm, puffy pillows of fried dough, drizzled with honey, offer a sweet and calming finish to the spicy meal, making it a quintessentially New Mexican dining experience without leaving Arizona. The restaurant’s status as a local landmark, known for its first-rate service and vibrant, welcoming atmosphere, solidifies Los Dos Molinos as a highly recommended dining choice in the Phoenix area.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Came for happy hour with a friend! The margs were amazing and service was great. The food however left something to be desired unfortunately! The chicken taco was extremely bland and dry. And the rice and beans had little flavor. My friend liked the nachos! Their queso is SPICY (which I love!) but just a heads up! I probably would go here again just get something else.
April 26 · MEGHAN CUMAIf you like your food spicy, this is the place to go. I sought it out because I was dying to have sopapillas again after bingeing on them on my first trip to New Mexico in 2023. I got them with honey, which was delicious, but not as good as honey butter, but in my half order of two, one was way too crunchy. They are supposed to be soft pillows of lusciousness. I probably won’t be trying them in AZ again. The street tacos were okay, not what I’m used to from the ones in NYC. These had cheddar cheese, shredded iceberg lettuce and chopped tomatoes—so American!! The adovado ribs were good, hot and spicy, but it came with a burnt tortilla. I love the decor, and the sports bar area looked really fun. I could definitely see making it my hangout if I lived here. Service was first rate.
September 14 · Starasia StarrGreat Mexican Restaurant and Bar! Their happy hour is really nice! Great deals on food and liquor. I had a frozen strawberry margarita, and when I tasted their salsa, down went the margarita. Their salsa has quite a kick. Definitely on the hot side.I love spicy, and the salsa was even hot for me.
September 11 · DB CooperA wonderful spot that gets busy, especially during the nights when a game is on. Food is good mexican, while the service can vary when it gets busy. However, overall, a great experience.
September 27 · Sam RauhalammiTop Quality fresh home made Mexican Food. Service is friendly and efficient. A family owned group (3 restaurant) where you are treated like a guest in their house. We stop every year on our way to Sedona. We order lunch to eat and take home two meals for later. I can’t say how much we really love their food.
