Frasher's Smokehouse Introduce
Frasher's Smokehouse has carved out a unique and beloved niche in the Phoenix, Arizona, dining scene, serving up far more than just traditional barbecue. Situated in the heart of the Arcadia Lite neighborhood, this restaurant offers a compelling fusion of authentic, slow-smoked meats and unique culinary offerings that pay tribute to the owner's St. Louis roots. For Arizona residents, Frasher's is the destination for comfort food that is deeply flavored, expertly prepared, and served in a casual, welcoming atmosphere.
The foundation of Frasher's reputation rests on its exceptional, slow-smoked barbecue, with meats like Brisket, Pulled Pork, Baby Back Ribs, and Turkey being smoked over Arizona pecan wood. This regional smoking technique ensures a rich, savory flavor in every bite, a hallmark of quality that has earned their meats high praise. However, what truly sets Frasher's Smokehouse apart is the unexpected but brilliant inclusion of St. Louis-style cuisine, most notably the thin-crust, square-cut pizza topped with Provel cheese. This signature combination of top-tier BBQ and unique regional specialties creates a dining experience unlike any other in the Valley.
Customer feedback consistently celebrates the quality of the food and the speed of service. Local patrons rave about the moist, smoky flavor of the brisket—so good, in fact, that one customer noted not wanting to 'mess with the flavor' by adding sauce. The pizza, particularly the unique 'Burnt End Pizza,' is described as wildly good, with bold flavors and a perfect crust. Beyond the main dishes, Frasher's is a complete dining spot, featuring a full bar with great beer and cocktail selections, making it perfect for catching a game or enjoying a relaxed night out with friends and family. The casual, cozy, and family-friendly atmosphere, complete with amenities like high chairs and a kids’ menu, ensures it’s a spot where everyone feels welcome.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Speedy Service + Wildly Good Pizza = Frasher’s WinsI haven’t eaten inside Frasher’s yet, but the location is super close—and after tonight, I’m sold. My roommate was so hyped to get our order home that he spilled some of the Coke in the rush. No worries though—he cracked open a Manzanita Sol to handle the spice. Water just wouldn’t cut it.The barbecue? Delicious. Smoky, tender, and gone in minutes. But the pizza? That’s where Frasher’s really shines. I used to work at Mellow Mushroom, and this was easily one of the most unique pies I’ve ever had. Bold flavors, perfect crust, and toppings that actually made me pause mid-bite to appreciate what was happening. The staff were awesome—super friendly and clearly proud of their food. One even suggested scrambling the leftovers with eggs for breakfast. Cute idea, but let’s be honest: there won’t be any leftovers. If you’re nearby, don’t sleep on Frasher’s. Fast service, killer food, and a pizza that’ll stick in your memory.
October 04 · Bradley MelnikI think I've driven past this place not knowing its here. Definitely worth a stop if you been cruising past it. I had their brisket sandwich with green chili Mac n cheese as my side. Fantastic! The brisket was moist but not fatty and full of rich smokey BBQ flavor. I can't comment on the BBQ sauce because the brisket was so crazy good I didn't want to mess with the flavor. Turns out the owner is a big Mizzou fan... another plus. Go Tigers!
September 06 · David PThis is the best barbeque place ever. Great salads, great Mac & cheese, garlic potatoes, the brisket is the best ever, the pork burnt tips, the ribs. The chef,Ciro is great,Lauren, the waitress & hostess is amazing. It was good for Alice Cooper & Taylor Swift.
July 07 · Diana BrestI had the pleasure of checking out Fraser’s Smokehouse last night, and I was so pleasantly surprised! Despite the cold and rainy weather keeping the crowds away, the cozy vibe of the restaurant and the warm, welcoming staff immediately made me feel right at home. We were seated quickly, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. To kick things off, I tried the Peach Daily cocktail—absolutely delicious and the perfect way to start the meal! The menu had so many tempting options, but I ended up going with the 2-meat combination plate, featuring some of the most tender and flavorful BBQ I’ve had in the Valley. I paired it with the Garlic Mashed Potatoes and the Roast Corn, and I can confidently say it was a meal that hit all the right notes. Everything was cooked to perfection!Fraser’s Smokehouse truly delivers some of the best BBQ around. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their incredible menu. Highly recommend this gem for anyone craving fantastic BBQ in a welcoming setting!
March 14 · XTopher TravelsThis place is pretty basic. Went Friday night and got the catfish special, while my wife got the three meat combo.Food is just meh. Edible, but not a BBQ joint I would visit again. Nearly devoid of any smoke. Serving size is embarrassingly small, and the catfish was lacking in flavor in the coating, and it was mush, it was so overcooked.Three houses sauces: original, sweet, and spicy. Original is heavy on Rosemary, and neither the sweet not spicy is anything to write home about. Wife sent her sweet tea back saying it tasted bad.Sides: green Chile Mac and cheese was bearable. Garlic mashed potatoes were bland, could and pasty. Not even my teenager would eat them. Cole slaw with the catfish had possibilities. Loved the veggie mix, nice cut. But it had an almost blue cheese flavor. I love blue cheese, but it ruined the slaw. Tartar sauce was basically mayo with a squirt of relish. Hush puppies were by far the best option, but could have tolerated more seasoning. It was pretty dead at around 6pm when we were there. Confusing entrance on the south side. We approached from the east, which makes you walk past a smoker or other cooking device, and makes you feel like you're going through the kitchen when you enter from the south side front door. It's a little dark. Seats aren't all that comfy as someone else noted. And there is no sense of arrival. You just kind of walk into a bar area. Outdoor patio area was decent.Service could use some work. We started with one guy who seemed a little out of place. But he was later replaced by a young lady who did fine. Not super attentive for the lack of customers, but we weren't ignored either.Tolerable. But a one and done.
