★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I came here because someone recommended this place to me. The food was edible only because I was able to cover it in BBQ. Both meats were pretty dry. No juices or anything. I'm not sure if this was due to my timing or if this is what they serve daily. I would've rated this place a 1 star if I was unable to eat the food. It was nasty and it wasn't good. I will come back and try it. Beans tasted weird and the potato salad tatse like Walmart potato salad, which I don't doubt they might use. I would not recommend this place at all.
January 25 · KrantwakA Hidden Gem for BBQ Lovers in Phoenix!Cookin' On Wood is an absolute treasure! I stopped in for the lunch special and was blown away by the BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich. The tender, smoky pork was packed with flavor, perfectly complemented by the tangy coleslaw. And let me tell you, the side of beans is a MUST. They’re rich, hearty, and packed with a depth of flavor that left me scraping the bowl! The portion size was generous, the service was friendly, I’m already planning my next visit to try their other lunch specials. If you’re in Phoenix and love BBQ, this spot needs to be on your list!Highly recommend!
January 22 · Jose LiconGreat little place for a quick lunch. Only open 3 hrs a day (11am-2pm) with daily lunch specials (not on the menu). Excellent service, food is server within minutes from ordering.
October 27 · Norman Thompson, JrPretty good prices... had a chicken sandwich... more meant for take away than having the food there... its a compact place with wooden crafts
February 01 · Vijay PentapatiFood is pretty good. However I cannot give 5 stars because of the lady that takes the orders at the door is ALWAYS in a bad mood. Nasty attitude even after tipping her. She also gave me expired chips...Today is 6-4-20
