Taco Boys Introduce
For those living in or traveling through the West Valley of Phoenix, Taco Boys is a destination that has quickly become synonymous with authentic, high-quality Mexican street food. This popular restaurant is more than just a taqueria; it is a full-service, trendy spot that manages to deliver on the speed of a 'quick bite' while offering the amenities of a full-fledged dining experience. Categorized specifically as a 'Restaurant' and 'Taco restaurant,' Taco Boys has carved out a niche by focusing on a distinct, flavorful cooking method that sets it apart from the competition.
The defining feature of the Taco Boys experience is their commitment to using mesquite charcoal for grilling their meats. This method, a nod to traditional Sonoran-style cooking, infuses their proteins—such as the acclaimed carne asada, barbacoa, and cabeza—with an unmistakable smoky, rich flavor. Patrons often rave about the difference this grilling technique makes, citing it as the reason they put Taco Boys in their "regular rotation." The atmosphere is described as both 'Casual' and 'Trendy,' making it a comfortable and engaging spot for various crowds, including groups, locals, and tourists.
The menu is designed for flexibility, catering to solo diners grabbing a quick lunch to families needing a large meal. Options range from affordable, high-quality individual tacos and innovative Vampiros to substantial Family Packs, ensuring there is something for every appetite and budget. With offerings including Alcohol, Beer, Cocktails, and Late-night food, Taco Boys is positioned as a versatile spot for any time of day, from a simple dinner to a late-night craving.

What is worth choosing
To fully appreciate the unique flavor profile that Taco Boys offers, local users should focus on the items that best showcase the mesquite charcoal grilling technique. The Carne Asada items are the absolute house specialty, and a must-try. Opting for a combination allows for a broader tasting experience:
- The Carne Asada Vampiro ($4.99): This is arguably the perfect way to experience the mesquite-smoked meat. The crunchy, griddled tortilla (the 'Vampiro') provides an excellent textural contrast to the juicy, smoky carne asada.
- The Carne Asada Fries ($12.99): A popular regional item that is an indulgent, substantial, and satisfying meal. The fries are topped with the house-specialty steak, cheese, and other customizable options, embodying the 'Comfort food' offering.
- A Taco Platter ($3.99 per Taco): If dining with others, choose a variety of the proteins cooked over mesquite—specifically the Cabeza (Beef Cheek) and the Barbacoa—to sample the rich, tender, and intensely flavorful slow-cooked options.
For groups or families, the **1 Lb Of Protein Family Pack ($39.89)** is an economical and highly customizable choice, providing enough meat and 15 tortillas to feed multiple people, allowing everyone to build their perfect meal at the 'Salad bar' of toppings. Finally, pair any of the above with one of the traditional Aguas Frescas ($5.99) for an authentic, cooling contrast to the richness of the mesquite-grilled meats.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1First time trying since my kids love to eat there!! Today prior to the Cardinals game we stopped and picked up two carne asada burritos w/beans and two tripa taco on flour tortillas. The burritos were Disappointing and extremely SALTY!! My husband ate, I couldn’t! the meat was soo salty and to pay almost $40 for the order is absolutely insane!
September 25 · Maria ValenciaI used to see this place on baby social media spots but there were no locations on the west side until now. They have a location on 91st and Camelback and it is off the chains!!! They smoke their fresh meat on mesquite charcoal and it gives a flair that is unmistakable. The infused meat is unlike any other. Lejuan took my order and was very informative and personable. I had the small carne asada quesadilla, the carne asada vampiro, the barbacoa taco, and the cabeza taco and they were all the bomb!!! I ordered a carne asada quesadilla and carne asada burrito to take home for the family and it was all very tasty as well. You should put the Taco boys in your regular rotation for excellent Mexican food that will keep you coming back for more. I do and will!!!
July 30 · Steven HarrisMusic was a bit loud for having conversations but the food was good! I'd definitely go back. I think the tacos are better than the asada fries but the asada fries were good. Those flower tacos were very good. The corn was good too but the flower was where it's at.
August 28 · Zack GuzmanWife and kid had carne asada fries, I had carne asada and Pollo tacos. Carne asada fries were LOADED with meat. Tacos were well loaded with meat as well. Meat had a really good flavor. Fresh salsa bar. Salsa was some of the best tasting salsa I have had and a good amount of spiciness to it. Would definitely recommend.
October 11 · Bart BlakeMet a guy on a flight to Phoenix that recommended this place. Smelled so good as soon as we walked in! Food is fresh and yummy 😋
