Asadero Pitic Introduce
For those craving authentic flavors and hearty portions right here in the Valley of the Sun, Asadero Pitic offers a dedicated experience centered around Sonoran-style grilling. Located in Phoenix, AZ, this family restaurant specializes in the beloved cuisine of Sonora, Mexico—a style of cooking deeply rooted in ranch culture, famous for its high-quality beef (carne asada), mesquite-fired grilling, and the prominence of thin, delicious flour tortillas (or "tortillas de harina").
Asadero Pitic positions itself as a destination for local specialty food, bringing the bold, smoky flavors of the grill directly to the Arizona community. The core of their offering revolves around various meats prepared over fire, transforming simple ingredients into robust and satisfying comfort food. This commitment to traditional methods is particularly popular for those seeking authentic carne asada and tacos al pastor, served in a casual and friendly atmosphere perfect for groups and families.
While the goal is to delight the palate, it is worth noting the dual nature of customer experiences, as reflected in local feedback. Some visitors highly praise the welcoming customer service, the comprehensive salsa bar, and the fact that their children enjoy the food, highlighting that when the food is executed well, it's a great experience. However, a few reviews point to inconsistencies in quality, specifically regarding the seasoning, meat fat content, and overall value. This suggests that while the concept and potential for excellence are high, customers should expect an authentic, rustic Sonoran experience that occasionally involves checking for consistency, a common aspect of true grill-house dining focused on simple, bold flavors.
Ultimately, Asadero Pitic provides a distinct regional Mexican culinary option for Phoenix residents, focusing on straightforward, fire-kissed dishes that are a celebrated local specialty in the Arizona-Sonora borderlands.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The girl at the register was very nice with good customer service. Theres a big salsa bar with pineapple salsa & pickled onions. Most of the salsas were ehh. Nothing spicy or with good flavor. We had al pastor tacos, carne asada burrito, ribs , aguachile ribs & flan. The al pastor was nothing special. The ribs were ok, but they came with a good amount of fat . I was really excited for The aguachile ribs . They were ok , but it wasn't what I was hoping it would be. The flan was good but def pricey. My kid enjoyed her burrito . Will not be going back.
April 11 · L LI'm a taco lover and this has been the worst experience I've had. from when you walk in the service is not the best and didn't felt welcomed, the food had no flavored, tortillas fall apart and it's over priced for the quality of food you're getting. I regret spending over $50 here and ended up throwing my pastor tacos in the trash. owners need to be more involved. I will not be coming back 👎
August 22 · Oscar MartinezI really enjoyed the food here. The beef ribs are amazing!Service was good, and the place was clean. One of the more unique taco options around here.
March 03 · Brandon TranCustomer service was good, however the food was not. It’s my second shot at this place and won’t be going back. The beans are flavorless, the carne asada has too many fatty pieces, and the Horchata drink was so watered down and overpriced. The salsa bar was nicely stocked and good options. Salsas were decent but nothing spicy. Disappointing.
September 22 · E GDelicious tacos and quesadillas! The carne asada taco is my favorite, definitely better than the Al Pastor.
