★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Popped in here with a few friends in a weekday and sat at the bar. Loved the atmosphere and it's openness to the outside patio. The salsa was really good. I wasn't a huge fan of the chips. I like mine thinner. 😋The sweet potato tacos were absolutely INSANELY delicious!!! I could eat those every single day. A must try and they let you mix and match tacos so you can try more than one. 😉 For sides it's not just the typical rice and beans. Oh no. I got corn which was tasty and the rice. HOLY what. It's a butter rice with peppers. Talk about take me back to my childhood. It's sooooo good!!! I cleaned my entire plate good. 🍽Don't even get me started with the drinks. The bartenders are making magic happen. The drinks were excellent!!! This place must be a whole different kind of vibe at night. A must try and next time I'm in town I'll definitely be back!
October 17 · Brandi Brown JonesWe booked a dinner reservation here ahead of a long travel day. There was bar seating and a few vacant tables but, coming from out of town ahead of a major sporting event only a few blocks away, a reservation seemed prudent just in case.We started off with cocktails. We had a mezcalito with smashed orange and cinnamon, and a pina coladda.we followed that up with a tamale with Oaxaca cheese, gelreen onion, sweet corn, and poblanos. The main courses were a green chili smash burger and the short rib machaca enchiladas with charro beans. The tamale was simply one of the best I have ever had, and I have had a lot of tamales, both made from scratch by friends and at restaurants. However, I have never had Machaca. The description claims it is popular in Arizona and New Mexico but I have never seen it on a menu here, so I decided to give it a try. It was fantastic. They also offer it in a chimichanga, tacos, and burritos.Service was a little bit slow and some of the staff supporting the waitress (who was excellent) were a little frosty. However it was ridiculously hot out and dodgers fans were pouring into this part of town so it may have been the end of a long day.I would go here again and try some of their other margaritas, and the burritos.
September 26 · Mark OfftermattHave been passing by Blanco for a few months now whenever I would come downtown I finally got a chance to check it out after work. It was the lunch rush so every table was full, so I ending up sitting at the bar. The bar was a little cluttered from the rush, but the bartender quickly cleaned everything up and grabbed me a menu. While checking out the menu I checked out others food and was so excited by the colors and the portion sizes--wow! I decided to get the chicken tings bowl and when I got it, well it was smaller than I expected, but the taste was phenomenal! The chicken was tender and so seasoned well and complimented the queso, sour cream, salsa, and guacamole! Wow! I would come back for another bowl or even some enchiladas which looked amazing!!The staff were kind and patient as I finally decided to get the Agua fresco with pomegranate, which I was told by them was a new menu item. It was super refreshing and so delicious!Minus one star for the flies and nats that would never go away and were super distracting. I think having small individual fans around the bar would be a great help!
September 27 · Chandra JenningsAmazing food!!! Absolutely amazing! I had the breakfast burrito, yeah I know eggs bacon Fries all wrapped up in a flour tortilla... What's so special?? Seriously EVERYTHING! Best flavor in every bite! Get the tamales too!!! And the blackberry frozen drink omg!!!
September 12 · Sarah SwisherStopped in for dinner with a coworker on a busy workday. It was busy because there was a huge conference in town, across the street at the convention center. We chose to dine at the bar and the bartenders used a team approach to take care of us, which was nice. We started with their skinny margarita and it was really good, made with fresh juice, and tasty! Their guacamole was fresh and tasty. They even have a very hot sauce they can serve, ask for it! I got their fish tacos, which were nicely done and fresh as well.Definitely would return!
