Taco Rojo’s Reviews
As a tourist craving birria tacos, the service and setup were good, the food just didn’t meet my expectations. The staff was friendly and the vibe seemed nice, though it looked like a busy Saturday for them. We ordered food for two, which took about 15 minutes to prepare—not bad, but it felt a bit long considering the cold, windy night.I ordered the birria ramen, but unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked and didn’t quite hit the spot. My partner had a quesadilla and an al pastor taco, which were okay but nothing too memorable. The drink I ordered—naranja—tasted more like water mixed with Tang and some fruit slices, which was a disappointing.
April 06 · Antuanett Lopez-Saniwe came to this place with very low expectations being placed where it’s at but came out of it with a new regular spot!! a little pricy but the atmosphere, food, and good vibes make it so worth it. we thought it couldn’t get any better but they’re dog friendly too!! the cashier was the nicest man and so accommodating to us non hispanic customers. he explained the menu perfectly and made sure we got just what we wanted. overall a 10/10 !!!! so so so recommended.
April 17 · Rebbecca HeyerFirst time here, I had gotten the Birria Ramen. Overall it was okay the broth wasn't super flavorful but the onions and cilantro gave it more pep. There was alot of meat given in the Birra, so portions are more than enough, more bang for your buck. Service was very quick & very polite great family business. I need to go back when I'm in the area & give them another chance with something else on the menu. 🌮 The atmosphere is very homey & laided back, great stop for a quick bite!
April 30 · Nora MaturinBest burritos in AZ. This is my regular spot when I drive to Phoenix for the spring. They hand make their tortillas, the cookies, the fruit drinks. This place is special. The atmosphere is like stepping into their family backyard, with tables and outdoor lights all around the awning, flowers on the sides walls. This is my favorite food place by far in AZ. Thank you guys!!
June 17 · Winston SmithGod bless this taco truck! Delicious, friendly, hospitable, professional, and beautiful! They have my favorite al pastor. Smokey, tender, and deliciously charred. My tacos overflow with meat! The birria and consomé is perfect for a cold day. Torta, YUM. I love their outdoor seating set-up as well. You can really tell that they take the time to make sure everything looks and tastes great. Wish they were open every day, but they need more help! So, if you're looking for an amazing taco truck to work for, this is the spot! :D Located in a cozy little lot. Sad to be moving 40 minutes away, but we'll be back soon!
