October 18 · Robert RamirezA New Indigenous Gem in Phoenix — Rooted in Tradition, Served with Love 🌵If you know, you know — Kris isn’t new to the kitchen or the community. Many valley locals will remember her from the OG days at The Frybread House, or from her incredible catering work that’s fed everything from family gatherings to major events. Not bad for a small-town Ajo girl! And now, Kris has taken the leap into her own brick-and-mortar, and let me tell you — this place is something special. From the moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in a warm, welcoming energy — the kind that immediately feels like home. The kitchen aroma hits first, transporting you back in time. For me, it was like waking up on a weekend morning to the smell of something good on the stove, mom playing old-school jams in the background. You just knew it was going to be a good day. That same feeling lives here. But it’s more than nostalgia- it’s Indigenous food in the truest sense.Kris has absolutely mastered the art of frybread: thin, pillowy soft, with just the right chew — a delicate balance not everyone can pull off. Every bite melted in my mouth. The chumuth? Just like my uncle used to make. Thin, round, with perfect edges - ideal for wrapping into a burrito. And don’t sleep on the white menudo. It immediately reminded me of my late Nana — full of memory-laced flavor. The kind of dish that feeds more than your body — it feeds your heart.Kris is honoring her roots from her Nan’s kitchen, and our culture — all while serving the community with open arms and full plates. This isn’t just a new restaurant — it’s a love letter to tradition, family, and resilience.Indigenous-owned | O’Odham strong | Phoenix Proud📍 8911 N Central Ave Ste.101Phoenix, AZ 85020Monday through Thursday 11-8pmFriday and Saturday 11-9pmNo Ads Here. October 15 · Asa PadillaI visit this place 2nd day of opening. My experience was not good. I hope this experience was only because it was not fully up and running. I ordered the Red posole with fry bread 12 dollars. I waited 45mins for my food. Posole was cold, and bread was under cooked, and small. I would not recommend this place for lunch hour because the wait. Food portion needs be be a bit more for the price.
October 15 · M BAmazing! Delicious, just what I was craving. Staff is super friendly, everything was fresh and I can’t wait to come back!
October 11 · Juliana UrtubeyThe food was absolutely delicious! Everything was so fresh and tasty. I forgot to take pictures because it looked so wonderful I couldn’t wait to dig in. It was a very chill laid back atmosphere with great music. 10/10 recommend!
