Drunken Tiger Introduce
For Arizonans seeking an exciting and authentic taste of Korean nightlife and culinary culture, Drunken Tiger in Mesa offers a truly unique experience. Established as Arizona’s first dedicated Korean pub—known as a 'Pocha' in Korea—this restaurant specializes in anju, the flavorful, hearty Korean bar food designed to be enjoyed alongside drinks. It successfully harmonizes classic Korean street food and bar staples with inventive Korean-American fusion dishes, creating a vibrant, cozy, and trendy atmosphere that has quickly become a favorite in the Valley for dinner and late-night dining.
The menu at Drunken Tiger is an adventure, featuring a wide array of bold and comfort-driven dishes that go far beyond standard Korean fare. The Chicken section is a major highlight, centered around the beloved Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) which is double-fried for an incomparable crunch. Customers rave about the wings and boneless options, particularly the traditional, extra-crispy Yangnyeom Chicken (sweet and spicy red sauce) and the savory Soy Garlic Chicken. For those who can handle the heat, the ultra-spicy Fire Chicken / 불닭, cooked in an extremely fiery sauce and often topped with melted mozzarella cheese, is a legendary item.
The core of the pub experience, however, is found under the "Drunk Munchies" section, which features an eclectic mix of delicious, shareable small plates. This is where the Korean-American fusion truly shines with items like Bulgogi Fries and Kimchi Pork Fries—French fries topped with classic Korean flavors, cheese, and homemade sauces. Traditional Korean pub favorites are also abundant, including the popular Tteokbokki / 떡볶이 (spicy rice cakes and fishcake), Tofu Kimchi / 두부김치, and the intensely flavored Sea Snail Salad / 골뱅이 무침. Signature items like the sweet and creamy Corn Cheese / 콘치즈 and the spicy version, Fire Corn Cheese / 매운 콘치즈, are incredibly popular, alongside Korean BBQ options such as tender Bulgogi / 불고기 and zesty Spicy Pork / 돼지불고기 served sizzling hot. This diverse menu ensures that every craving, whether for a quick bite or a full, flavor-packed meal, is satisfied.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1What we got:Combo B (corn cheese, pork belly salad and soju bomb) $37Combo C ( padak, French fries and a bottle of beer)Pineapple fried riceTakoyakiLiterally have no complaints everything was great hear, kimchi fried rice had perfect amount of spice and flavor and the bacon pieces really give it a interesting flavor balance, corn cheese has the right amount of cheese were you never had any clumps of cheese and the corn was very sweet in flavor too yummy! There padak is soft and crunchy at the same time . The takoyaki had a good amount of octopus inside of them pleased with that as well this is a great spot I’ll be back for sure
September 29 · Sabrina HoyerThis place serves great Korean bar foods. Their chicken wings w/ sweet and spicy sauce (this is the traditional flavor) are really good. It’s better than bonchon, bbq, and any other Korean fried chicken I ate in the Valley. Ttoekbokki is pretty decent and I like all the topping options except soggy dumplings. I wish they offered crunch fried dumplings instead for ttoekbokki. Corn and spicy pork dish was strangely delicious like I couldn’t stop eating even though it seemed like it shouldn’t be good. Good atmosphere inside and service is very good.
October 11 · Peter ParkI’ve been coming here for almost 8 years and it’s just not the same anymore. Same dishes I’ve been getting for years and each time I come they skip out. Look at the photo comparison of what I got today vs. before of the SAME DISH. Just disappointed every time I go. First pic is from today and the ones after are from before.
December 19 · Zhuo ZhangOverall experience was great. The bar/restaurant does make you feel like you are in a bar in South Korea. The food was very good and the kimchi tasted fresh. However the only thing keeping me from rating this place 5 stars is that the food and drinks are overpriced. The Soju is marked up at least 2~3 times and the portion of the food doesn't match the price. Overall I rate this place 4.5
